"Good evening and thank you for coming to support our cause, I am Lauren McNally.

 

As most of you know, I’ve spent the last six years serving as the 5th ward councilwoman for the City of Youngstown. During that time, I’ve accomplished a lot for the residents of my ward, improving their quality of life, as well as supporting programs and projects that have impacted the city as a whole. 

 

I’ve also made strong, quality relationships with my colleagues, for whom I have the utmost respect, worked with two administrations and countless community leaders, all of whom have played a significant role in changing the face of Youngstown over the last decade.

I want to take what I’ve learned and what I’ve accomplished during my time in the city and help elevate the whole region.

​

As your State Representative in Columbus, I will work to build a coalition of bipartisan representatives from around Ohio to create common sense legislation that works for all of our families.

​

I don’t want to leave here tonight without acknowledging those who came before me, sought this exact position, and served the Mahoning Valley well.

​

They included former representatives Tom Gilmartin, Bob Hagan, and Sylvester Patton, as well as our current representative, Michelle Lepore-Hagan.

 

They have fought hard for this valley over the years and I hope to continue to carry on that fight to remind Columbus that the Mahoning Valley is an important and vital part of the state of Ohio."
